After retiring as a graphic artist, Mary Ann St. Peter explored a various art media and settled on oil painting. Her favorite subjects are figures, portraits, and animals.
Her work has been influenced by the 20th century artists Ramon Casas Carbo, and the handsome Montparnasse bohemian artist Amedeo Modigliani.
She has studied at the Loveland Arts Academy, the Denver Student Artists League,
and with Susan Blackwood, and local artists Dan Edmondson and Lani Vlaanderen.
She is a member of the Poudre River Association of Artists, Colorado Coalition
of Artists, the Artist’s Association of Northern Colorado, and has been
a participating member of the Art on Mountain gallery.
Mary Ann says “My brush strokes are a path to a place in my heart. With a little spark of creative energy my painting begins in my soul and moves along in a continuous journey. Hopefully along this creative journey I can share some of the beauty I see in this world.”
