Christmas on Motu Mahana. Photograph. I saw this arrangement while walking through a big Christmas cookout. My decision to capture this still life was automatic. I wish I could send a print to whomever was kind enough to set it up for me!
Tahiti’ Dreamin’. Polaroid Transfer. Imagine yourself cruising down a river in an outrigger canoe on a south sea island, relaxing. To me, this photograph captures that feeling.
Why the Long Face? Oil on Canvas. There is an old saying to the effect that if you can draw the human figure, you can draw anything. I disagree. Horses are the toughest critters of all!
Somewhere Near Morea. Pastel on sanded paper. This pastel is from a photo I took while snorkeling off of Morea. The photograph was not of exhibition quality, but I really liked the composition. And, I feel like I really got to know the shark while trying to render his colors while painting.
