Call For Entries: Biker Art
Art made from, about or inspired by bikes.
All original artwork about bicycles, unicycles, tricycles, mopeds, gopeds, and yes motorcycles, is eligible. The art may be inspired by bikes, may include bikes or bike parts, or may use bicycles as part of the subject matter. Prizes for the best juried piece, and the peoples favorite (Cannot be the same piece).
All two-dimensional and three-dimensional media will be considered, including metalsmithing, jewelry, fashion design, painting, drawing, collage, performance, film, mosaic, metal, glass, mixed media, sculpture, and installation art.
Submissions as well as a non-refundable entry fee is due by May 26thall accepted artists will be notified by June 2ndand the actual artwork must be received at the Poudre River Art Center by June 28th. (special deadlines for fashion design at the end of the call for entries)
Show Runs from July 2nd, 2008 through July 15th 2008. At the Poudre River Arts Center, 406 N College Ave. in Fort Collins, Colorado. With a grand opening July 4th, from 6-9 P.M.
Please include with all submissions: your name, the title of the piece (if applicable), the price of the piece or NFS, dimensions of the piece, photographs, or technical sketches of the piece (or video for performance and video pieces), materials used, phone number, and email address, and a brief (1 to 3 sentence) explanation of how the piece relates to bikes.

Entry fees: $10 for the first piece, $9 dollars for the second, $8 per piece for each additional entry. Email Travis Parry at Parrymetaldesigns@yahoo.com to pay by Paypal.
All paintings, pictures, drawings etc must be framed and ready to be hung. All video media must be in DVD format ready to be. A sample of any performance piece must be submitted in Video to be considered. All three-dimensional pieces must be adequately durable.
Travis Parry will take all precautions to ensure the safety of all artwork. All entries will be handled with care. Locking Displays will be used for smaller pieces. The gallery will be staffed during all open hours of the show. However, neither Travis, nor the people working the show will be responsible for any loss, damage or stolen artwork, and any insurance is the responsibility of the exhibiting artist.

All shipments must come with a reusable-shipping container, a return address label and return shipping costs, all pieces without return shipping will be sent COD. Pieces to be picked up must be picked up by July

Special Fashion Design Deadlines
Please submit a sketch or picture of the piece, and your entry fee by April 14th, 2008. All accepted artists will be notified by April 21st. Piece must be received by June 28th 2008. All other rules and considerations are the same.
