Call For Entries: Horse Art

"Unbridled Beauty" A Horse Art Event at the Poudre River Arts Center.

All original artwork about, related to, or inspired by the horse.

Best in show award for people's favorite.

Show runs from September 2nd, 2008 through September 30th 2008, at the Art Loft gallery of the Poudre River Arts Center, 406 N College Ave. in Fort Collins, Colorado.

Opening reception on September 5th from 6-9 p.m. in conjunction with a horse art photography show at the Center for Fine Art Photography, in addition to a horse art invitational show in the main gallery. All two-dimensional and three-dimensional media will be considered.

Digital image submissions as well as a non-refundable entry fee is due by August 15th 11:59 P.M. all accepted artists will be notified by August 22nd and the actual artwork must be received at the Poudre River Art Center by August 30th 5:00 P.M.

Please include with all submissions: your name, the title of the piece (if applicable), the price of the piece, dimensions of the piece, photographs, or technical sketches of the piece (or video for performance and video pieces), materials used, phone number, email address, and a brief (1 to 3 sentence) explanation of how the piece relates to horses.

PRAA will take a 25% commission of all sales.

Entry fees: $30 for up to 3 pieces, $5 for each additional piece. All checks should be made out to: PRAA. All paintings, pictures, drawings etc must be framed and ready to be hung using wire hanging. All three-dimensional pieces must be adequately durable.

The gallery will be staffed during all open hours of the show. However, the people staffing, or running the show will not be responsible for any loss, damage or stolen artwork, and any insurance is the responsibility of the exhibiting artist.

All shipments must come with a reusable-shipping container, a return address label and return shipping costs, all pieces without return shipping will be sent COD. Pieces to be picked up must be picked up by October 4th 5:00 p.m.
