Some Art and Have Our Birthday Cake, Too
This Friday, October 2, is First Friday and
we at Poudre River
Arts Center are celebrating our 3rd birthday! There will
be cake and ice cream and a GREAT show in the gallery. Here are
all of the details:
In
The PRAC Gallery:
The gallery will
showcase artwork from the Poudre
Studio Artists. Come and meet
our new artists and get to know those who have been here for
a while!
Mark Dobroth will be performing
acoustic guitar 6:30-9 in our balcony.

Have a snack:
Birthday cake & ice cream, along with other awesome
treats supplied by our artists
And upstairs...
Steve Allen will demo pastels and show the
progress of a painting upstairs in his studio. See the beginning
of the painting at 6:30. the middle at 7:30 and the end at 8:30.
Kat Peters-Midland will be working on a large
project -- a mosaic kitchen backsplash -- in the studio next
to hers so that you can watch the process and ask questions.
It's Tim Burton Night in the big studio upstairs. Come
and grab a snack and watch a movie! We'll show Beetlejuice at 6
and Nightmare Before Christmas immediately afterwards.
Bring your inner artist with you to PRAC and
make something beautiful in a real artist studio! We've got all
of the supplies laid out for you and the artists will be on hand
to assist you if you have any questions.

We have a few new artists moving in this month and they'll be
showing their work in time for November First Friday. Also, we're
going to start offering Make and Takes -- keep that in mind for
holiday gift giving and watch this space for more info.
